Solar Energy Home Truths
Don't buy it DIY it.
To the average householder the high cost of buying a
Solar Energy system is often prohibitive - it can take
many years to see a return on the original purchase.
The high costs of solar energy home units are
partly due to the low energy intensity of sunlight. Even though
the earth is energised by the Sun the amount of Solar energy
falling on a square meter of earth is in fact
quite small - working out to roughly 300Watts per sq meter
depending on location. This of course means large solar
panels are needed to meet the energy needs of a typical
home - generally Solar Panels with a size 10% the square
footage of a house.
When people are faced with the high cost of
purchasing a solar energy system is it any wonder there has
been little take up of the technology?
Until now that is....
What about the idea of building your own domestic
solar energy unit? With the right guidance and for a much
lower cost you can assemble your own domestic
solar energy unit and save yourself a fortune in
energy bills. If it's possible to recover initial costs within
a year, sometimes less, the whole idea becomes a lot more
appealing. But it doesn't just stop there, some people end up
selling energy back to the grid and find themselves
with a cash surplus!
Creating your own energy frees you from reliance on countries
that control the worlds natural resources. Think for a
moment about the idea of meeting your own energy
needs and no longer worrying about rising prices, outages
or third party interference. With declining reserves of fossil
fuels, energy costs are only going to keep going
up and the conglomerates are going to make even more
money. Build your own Solar unit and your prices are going to
remain constant - inflation is not a question when the resource
is free.
Whether you purchase a solar energy home system or you build
one it will add value to your home. And, if you are conscious
of the environment you will save many tons of CO2 emissions,
lowering your carbon footprint considerably.
Anyway don't just take my word for it. Take a look at this
product on domestic solar energy units.
