Domestic Wind Power
Build Your Own Home Wind
Power Unit
To the average consumer the high costs of purchasing wind power
units are often prohibitive - it can take a long
time to see a return on the original
investment.
The costs of Domestic wind power systems are partly
due to the robust and light weight efficient technology
involved. However, the main reason is due to how much energy a
typical domestic turbine can produce. For a turbine with a
rotor diameter of 6 feet you can expect to produce about 500
kilowatts of electricity a year. This is a little more than one
tenth of what is actually needed. It therefore would require a
bank of wind turbines to produce enough energy (about 4500
kilowatts) to meet a households needs.
When you consider the price of purchasing domestic wind
power units at a couple of thousand dollars a time, is it
any wonder there has been little take up of the
technology?
Until now that is....
What about the idea of building your own domestic wind power
system? With the right guidance and for much less cost you can
assemble your own domestic wind power system and
save yourself a fortune in energy bills. If it's possible to
recover installation costs within a year, sometimes less, the
whole idea becomes a lot more attractive. But it doesn't just
stop there, some people end up selling energy back to the grid
and find themselves in profit.
Creating your own energy frees you from reliance on countries
that control the worlds natural resources. Imagine the idea of
meeting your own energy needs and no longer worrying
about rising prices, outages or third party interference.
Energy prices are only going to go up and the conglomerates are
going to take even more of your hard earned money. Build your
own wind power system and your prices are going to
remain constant - inflation is not a question when the resource
is free.
Whether you purchase a wind power system or you build
one yourself it will add value to your house. And, if you are
conscious of the environment you will save many tons of CO2
emissions, lowering your carbon footprint considerably.
Anyway don't just take my word for it. Take a look at this
product on domestic wind power units.
